Tierkat Wine Awards (TWA) - Entry Process
To enter your wine into the Tierkat Wine Awards, please follow these steps:

Review eligibility requirements and Disclaimer (please see below):
- Your wine must have a recommended retail price of R150 or less per bottle (Excepting the Sparkling Wine Category which is open up to RRP of R250).
- Your wine must have been produced in accordance with all applicable requirements and regulations.

Complete the entry form:
- Fill out the TWA Entry Form, providing all required information about your winery, wine, label, tasting notes, price, availability, awards and accolades, and submission guidelines.
- Your form can be sent to info@tierkat.co.za ahead of the entry submission or can be submitted together with the sample of 2 bottles.
- Closing date is 1 September 2023 and entry submissions must reach us on 30 September 2023 by the latest.

Package and ship your wine:
- Follow the packaging and shipping instructions provided by your selected courier company to ensure that your wine arrives in the best possible condition.

Indemnity:
It is the producer’s responsibility to ensure that all samples are delivered to the delivery address prior to the closing date. Neither TWA nor their employees can be held responsible for the late delivery or non-delivery of samples. TWA and its partners will also not be liable for any loss of fees relating to the transport or courier of samples. - All wine samples will become the property of TWA once received by TWA. Should you want to withdraw and require your sample returned, your will be responsible for the courier fees.

Wait for judging results:
- Once your wine has been received and processed by the competition organizers, it will be judged by a panel of wine tasters.
- The results of the judging will be communicated to you by email.
- Your certificate of achievement in excellence in the selected category will be emailed to you.
- Should you wish to receive a physical certificate we can print, emboss and courier it to for a small fee.

Promote your wine:
- If your wine wins an award or recognition in the competition, be sure to promote it through your website, social media channels, and other marketing materials.
- This can help to increase your brand awareness and drive sales of your award winning wine.
- By entering the TWA you consent to your bottles being photographed for the image to be uploaded against your result on the Tierkat Wine Awards Website. Temporary labels will need updating with final bottle image, so please avoid using temporary labels.

Entry Disclaimer for the Tierkat Wine Awards (The not so fun but important stuff):
- Eligibility: The Tierkat Wine Awards are open to all wine producers, wineries, and vineyards worldwide, provided that the wines submitted meet the competition's criteria and requirements.
- Entry requirements: Each wine entry must include two (2) bottles of wine, and be accompanied by a completed entry form, including all required information. All entries must be received by the deadline. Wines must be properly labelled, packaged, and shipped in accordance with the competition's instructions.
- Liability and responsibility: Entrants are solely responsible for the quality and accuracy of their entries, including proper labelling and packaging, and ensuring that the wine is delivered to the competition on time and in good condition. The competition organizers are not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of entries during shipping or handling.
- Judging and results: Entries will be judged by a panel of judges according to the criteria set forth in the competition rules. When the results will be announced, all entrants will be notified of the results by email. The decisions of the judges are final and binding.
- Submission: By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and regulations, and to comply with all decisions and instructions of the competition organizers. The competition organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the competition's criteria or requirements, or that is deemed inappropriate or offensive.
- Disqualification: Entries that do not meet the eligibility criteria set forth in the Tierkat Wine Awards rules and regulations may be disqualified from consideration. The judges' decisions regarding eligibility are final and binding.
- Misconduct: Any entrant found to have provided false information, cheated, or engaged in other misconduct, as determined by the organizers of the Tierkat Wine Awards, may be disqualified, and prohibited from entering future competitions.
- Revocation: The organizers of the Tierkat Wine Awards reserve the right to revoke any awards granted if it is determined that false information was provided or that the entrant engaged in misconduct.
